Technology Devices and Information
All South Adams Students are provided and assigned a technology device to be used for academic purposes.
Elementary students are assigned an iPad in the classroom. K-4 grade students keep their iPads at school in the classroom charging cart. Fifth grade students will take their iPads home this year, beginning after the first full week of school.
Middle School and High School students are assigned a student Windows laptop. The students are expected to bring their laptop fully charged to school each day. Middle School students will receive their laptop during the school day on Friday, August 9. and High School students may pick up their laptop in the high school library beginning August 1, (M-F, 8 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.). High school students are encouraged to pick up their laptop before the first student day.
South Adams Schools is providing free of charge the Device Repair Program to ALL students during the 2024-2025 school year that covers a one-time accidental repair within the current school year. The parent/student will be charged for additional repairs if any should occur after the first damage. If several claims occur the student may be denied access to an assigned laptop and may be required to use older model laptops located in the library which cannot be taken home.
