Building And Grounds Maintenance Technician

Job Overview:

Maintain and repair all building and grounds related to South Adams Schools.

Responsibilities and Duties:

·         Install, repair and maintain electrical systems such as motors, transformers, wiring and lighting.

·         Repair and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

·         Maintain school grounds, including but not limited to, athletic fields, playground and all other lawn and landscape areas.

·         Repair and maintain pool facilities.

·         Repair and maintain all aspects of building structure and contents, including but not limited to, commercial plumbing, flooring, light carpentry, minor roof and commercial kitchen equipment repair.

·         Perform snow plowing and/or removal.

·         Perform all other duties assigned by the director of maintenance and grounds.

 

Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or equivalent required.

·         3-5 years of experience is highly recommended.

·         Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC required.

·         Experience and knowledge of welding and small engine repair recommended but not required.

·         Self-driven, team oriented, punctual, reliable, positive attitude, trust worthy and flexible.

·         Valid driver’s license.

·         Must pass a criminal background check.

·         Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
