Position: Anticipated High School Social Studies Teacher
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies Education or a related field.
- Indiana Educator’s License in Secondary (9-12) Social Studies, preferably certified in the areas of History and Government, or the ability to obtain.
- Passionate about Social Studies and the value of civic education.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience teaching/student teaching at the high school level preferred.
Duties:
- Plan, instruct, and assess curriculum for assigned course subjects (World History, AP World History, and United States Government) that are aligned to course standards and objectives.
- Differentiate lessons and class activities for students of all ability levels and needs.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with school staff and students.
- Adhere to all corporation policies for staff including attendance, professionalism, and fulfillment of assigned responsibilities.
- Ensure approved accommodations are provided to eligible students.
- Communicate with students and parents regarding progress and grades.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
