• Hello Starfire Families!

We have had a wonderful start to the school year and we are so thankful for the amazing support of our Starfire Families.  We are also thankful we have not had to call a weather (fog) delay and we’re hoping one is not needed this fall. However, in case we do, we want to make you aware that it is possible we may implement a 3-hour delay if necessary. There have been times in the past if we would have had an additional hour delay, we would have been able to come to school and could have avoided an eLearning or make-up day. With that being said we do not anticipate many 3-hour delays, but we want our families to be prepared if this should happen. If South Adams does implement a 3-hour weather delay, school will begin at 10:55 a.m. and dismiss at the regular time 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be served and class periods shortened.

One more item we want to make our families aware of is a schedule change for students on the Staff Professional Day, September 14. September 14 will NOT be an eLearning day for students. Staff will be participating in professional development, but it will be a “no school” day for ALL students.

Once again, thank you for your continued support! Please let us know if you have any questions regarding a 3-hour delay.
