We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! With family gatherings prevalent in the past and upcoming weeks, we want to encourage families to keep your children home from school if they are feeling sick. With cold and flu season here, keeping sick children at home will help slow the spread. We continue to do all we can here at school to keep our students healthy (including sanitizing surfaces and practicing healthy hygiene), but we need your help to keep sick germs at home.
Just a few reminders: If your child has a fever, they need to be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol and/or ibuprofen before returning to school. If your child is coughing persistently or has severe cold symptoms, it may be best to keep them home to rest another day or so or to see a doctor if not improving. If you or a family member has been exposed to Covid or if you plan on getting your child tested, please keep all your children home and notify the school right away. Thank you for helping to keep South Adams as healthy as possible - we appreciate our South Adams families so much!
